No Stopping The Detroit Tigers
Another win, another save, another homerun, another great showing. The Detroit Tigers are all of that and more. Today marks their 12th win in a row. It is also Jose Valverde's 44th save. Every one of the Tigers are amazing right now. They all work together. They all win together. Every day is like a playoff game. Every day we see amazing things. Every day we hear, "Another great save," or "What a great play," or "Going, going, gone! Another homerun for...". No matter what happens, it's been an exciting, great, fun year. But we are rooting for you all the way. You go on with your bad selves. You can do it, Tigers. WE BELIEVE!!!

WINNING AGAIN
The Detroit Tigers have finally won some big games. Since the start of the season the Tigers defense has been a little off, to say the least. From errors to pitching, they have been ify for each game. These last three games have put the Tigers just under .500, which looks a lot better than 3 and 7.
"I felt like we haven't played terrible, but we haven't played great, either,” said third basemen Brandon Inge about the past few games. "This one felt more like, 'All right, that's enough, guys.
After six scoreless innings in the first game of the series against the Athletics, the Tigers come back with a run in the 7th and two in the 8th to take a 3-0 lead. The Athletics didn’t come back to score leaving the Tigers with the 3-0 win to take the sweep over the Athletics.
"I was staying focused on what my job is, and that's getting out there and getting it done,” said Phil Coke, pitcher of the Tigers.
“He was impressive,” said Jim Leyland, the Tiger’s skipper.
.
The two days before the Tigers won with back to back walk off hits against the Rangers. Brandon Inge was detrimental in the two wins with his walk-off homerun in one game and his leadoff single in the other. In Maguel Cabrera fashion, he hit a walk off single to get Inge home and won the second game of the series.
“Maybe this can jump-start us and get us going," Inge said. “I was just trying to really get my swing down and be aggressive and try to hit the ball up the middle. Hard."
The Tigers are now in fourth place in the Central. Only the Twins are worse. With the type of players that the Tigers have, it has been a surprising start to their season. Though not necessarily known for shooting out of the gate with wins, it was predicted that they would do better. They have, however, been known to come back once the weather turns warm. This season has been no exception. Somehow being only 2 ½ back, the Tigers can come back and win the whole thing, but will they?
"Like I said, we've got a good team," Leyland said. "We've got some guys not hitting, a couple guys hitting. I think when it's all said and done, we'll hit enough."
